Our Veterinarians
Franklin M. Carmona, DVM
Dr. Carmona joined our hospital after graduating from Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. He became co-owner in 1992 and now he is the sole owner of the practice. His veterinary interests include surgery and pocket pets.
Dr. Carmona is married to Jacqueline Walsh, DVM and they have two children. Their pets include a box turtle and a Labrador Retriever named Wesley.
Gurpreet Kaur, DVM
Dr. Kaur joined the practice in 2022. She feels proud to be working back in her hometown. She graduated from Michigan State’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. She has interests in dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and general medicine. After moving to Chicago for a short while, her and her husband decided to come back and settle in the area. They now love spending any free time with their two children, German shepherd mix Yoki, and their Himalayan mix Lou.
Reception Staff
Annette grew up in Rochester Hills. She graduated from Michigan State University (Zoology) in 1997 and Macomb Community College (Veterinary Technology) in 2000. She has a dog Osh, a cat Lallie Joy, and a cockatiel Professor Ludwig Von Drake.
Kelsey Rea
Kelsey grew up in Rochester Hills. She graduated from Oakland Community College in 2019. And has always had a passion for rabbits. Currently has three rabbits, Lily, Marley and Hamilton.
Ashley Hanes
Ashley grew up in Clinton Township. She graduated from Macomb Community College in 2021 and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Rochester University. Ashley has a siamese cat named Linx and a husky named Bella.
Technicians
Courtney is a Licensed Veterinary Technician that graduated from Macomb Community College in May 2003. She has been working at our hospital since graduating from the program. Among her many talents, she is our usual tech support go-to person, and between our computer system, digital x-rays, and lab machines, we need a lot of tech support! She has amazing skills and her sense of humor keeps us going on the hard days. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and son. She currently has a dog, Luke and two cats, Spooky and Tippy.
Jessica Steil, LVT
Jessica is a licensed Veterinary Technician that graduated from Macomb Community College in 2016. She has been working here since November 2016. She currently has a cat named Octavia.
Alycia Gilstorff, LVT
Alycia is a licensed Veterinary Technician that graduated from Macomb Community College in 2016. She has been in the veterinary field since 1998. She enjoys traveling, cooking and hiking with her dog, Marisa.
