Our Veterinarians

Franklin M. Carmona, DVM

Dr. Carmona joined our hospital after graduating from Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. He became co-owner in 1992 and now he is the sole owner of the practice. His veterinary interests include surgery and pocket pets.

Dr. Carmona is married to Jacqueline Walsh, DVM and they have two children. Their pets include a box turtle and a Labrador Retriever named Wesley.

Gurpreet Kaur, DVM

Dr. Kaur joined the practice in 2022. She feels proud to be working back in her hometown. She graduated from Michigan State’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. She has interests in dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and general medicine. After moving to Chicago for a short while, her and her husband decided to come back and settle in the area. They now love spending any free time with their three children, their German shepherd mix, Yoki, and their Himalayan mix, Lou.

Rebecca Sidor, DVM

Dr. Sidor grew up in the Rochester area, with a passion of caring for animals. She worked at North Hills during high school, getting exposed to the life of veterinary medicine. Dr. Sidor attended Mississippi State University for undergrad and veterinary school. Dr. Sidor and her husband Greg currently have one daughter, Charlotte, along with a house filled with dogs- Lacey, Kermit and Quincy.

Our Staff

Annette, LVT
Annette grew up in Rochester Hills. She graduated from Michigan State University (Zoology) in 1997 and Macomb Community College (Veterinary Technology) in 2000. She has a dog named Osh, a cat named Lallie Joy, and a cockatiel named Professor Ludwig Von Drake.

Ashley grew up in Clinton Township. She graduated from Macomb Community College in 2021 and recently received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Rochester University (2023). Ashley has a siamese cat named Linx and a husky named Bella.

Heather went to Oakland University, where she studied dance and fine arts. After that she went on to work at Petsmart, where she went through the grooming academy, and continued for 8 years! While grooming she began working for Banfield Pet Hospital. She has been in the veterinary field since 2015. Heather has a passion for animal dentistry; she enjoys cleaning teeth and seeing the outcome of a nice clean smile!

Nicole, LVT
Nicole graduated from Macomb Community College’s Veterinary Technician program in 2019, later gaining experience at both large and small animal clinics in the Rochester Hills area. Since graduation, she has taken a special interest in behavioral medicine and surgery. Nicole spends her free time at home with her two Olde English Bulldogge rescues, Nox and Syrus, as well as her horse, Ziggy, and spoiled barn cat, Wanda.

JoAnna graduated from Northern Michigan University (Zoology) in 1997 and has worked in the veterinary field since 1999. She has a dog named Lorenzo and three cats- Pauley, Izzy and Ruby. She is also a diehard Wings, Tigers and Lions fan.

Kelsey grew up in Rochester Hills. She graduated from Oakland Community College in 2019. Kelsey has always had a passion for veterinary medicine and rabbits. She currently has three rabbits- Lily, Marley and Hamilton. She also has two dogs, Daisy and Rosie.

Courtney, LVT
Courtney graduated from Macomb Community College’s Veterinary Technician program in 2003 and has been working at our hospital ever since. Among her many talents, she is our usual tech support go-to person, and between our computer system, digital x-rays, and lab machines, we need a lot of tech support! She has amazing skills and her sense of humor keeps us going on the hard days. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and son. She currently has a dog, Luke, and two cats, Tippy and Monkey.
